Oncology Support

According to a 2022 study published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute, up to 87% of individuals with cancer use at least one form of complimentary and alternative (CAM) therapy following their diagnosis.  Why?  The research is clear: patients do better, recover faster from surgery, better tolerate chemotherapy and radiation and have a higher quality of life when CAM is included as part of their treatment plan.  

At Integrative Family Medicine of Bend, our team has been offering adjunctive and integrative oncology services since 2012.  We have seen how remarkable our patients do when they combine conventional oncology treatments--chemotherapy, radiation and surgery--with IV therapy, in particular, and are proud to continue to offer this to our Central Oregon community.

Oncology support using IV therapy might include one or more of the following:

• High dose vitamin C
• Curcumin
• Mistletoe
• Resveretrol
• Glutathione
• Multi-vitamin/multi-mineral IVs  

When you establish care, you will meet with your doctor and discuss your goals regarding treatment for your specific cancer. We will discuss your fears and concerns and make sure you feel heard.  We always fully support your conventional oncologist's recommended (and research-backed) course of action, and we can help minimize side effects with targeted IV therapies.   We will always reassess our plan and adjust accordingly as things come up.  Your doctor will work with your oncologist and communicate what IV therapy/therapies have been recommended and the science behind those recommendations.
